New York’s Utopia Bagels pops up in South Bank

24 th July 2025

South Bank pop-up regular Truffle Burger has endeavoured to bring something different to the local pop-up scene this summer, hosting guest collabs led by hip street food brands from France and the US at their casual little spot below Hungerford Bridge.

Pop-up guests featured so far at the 'Truffle Burger & Friends' series have included Homer Lobster from Paris, Forsyth Fire Escape’s quirky scallion pancake burritos and the legendary Charles Pan-Fried Chicken from Harlem.

The next guest to take over the quirky South Bank pop-up spot is Utopia Bagels. Frequently touted in the ubiquitous ‘New York’s Best Bagels’ lists as the best in the city, Utopia Bagels is a 45-year-old bagel business from Queens, New York. So popular are their bagels among New Yorkers that they reportedly hand-roll over 100,000 bagels per week!

Landing in London with a bang, Utopia Bagels intends to give away 500 bagels for free to their first 500 customers! Make sure to get in line early on Friday 25 July if you're hoping to score a freebie – they will start serving from 4pm.

When’s it open?

Utopia Bagels will be popping up for a three-week run underneath Hungerford Bridge (between Southbank Centre and Jubilee Gardens). Open daily from 11am–11pm until 17 August.
