Enjoy the relaxed vibe and frank and friendly service of this all-American Philly dive bar, located inside one of the atmospheric Victorian arches in the Leake Street graffiti tunnel.

Passyunk Avenue is a popular venue for American expats, and fans of American sports from elsewhere in the world, to come together and guzzle down some all-American beers and snacks while watching all the biggest US sports – especially NFL, college football, basketball and baseball.

Named after the iconic street in Philadelphia where it is said that the Philadelphia Cheesesteak was born, Passyunk Avenue keeps things authentic with the best of Philly regional cuisine on offer. Try a plate of their excellent Buffalo wings and don't miss out on THE best Philly cheesesteak sandwiches - even the former Philadelphia Eagles football star Jason Kelce gave it his nod of approval when he visited the bar! Then, wash it all down with a pitcher of beer to share or a 'Citywide Special' (Philly lingo for a beer and a shot of bourbon).

The unofficial home of all things American in London, Passyunk goes all out to celebrate the biggest US holidays and celebrations such as Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. When it comes to the biggest sporting clashes such as the London Series baseball and NFL matches, the atmosphere is positively electric and if Super Bowl Sunday is your thing, Passyunk Avenue hosts a tailgate party in the Leake Street tunnel that you won't want to miss!

Passyunk Play

Taking the dive bar vibes up another notch, and keeping things very much with the sporting theme, in November 2024 Passyunk Avenue expanded into the neighbouring railway arch to launch Passyunk Play – an adjoining space that is entirely dedicated to American bar sports (with a few extra TV screens thrown in for good measure).

From small to large and individual to team sports there's a wide variety of games to play including bar classics like shuffleboard and cornhole, pool, foosball, air hockey, ping pong (or beer pong) and darts.

Passyunk Play also has its own batting cages. Using state-of-the-art pitching machines and ball-tracking telemetry, the latest in ball-tracking technology and software means that the batting cage gameplay can be scaled up, or down, to suit everyone’s batting ability, from baseball pro to first-timer. Advanced booking is recommended for the batting cages. 30 minutes costs £25 (ideal for a group of 2-4 people), or walk-ins can play at £5 per 5-minute increment. Book a batting cage here.
