Between the Bridges is popping up again in South Bank!
Get ready for a summer of revelry and entertainment as Between the Bridges returns to South Bank this summer.
The fifth-floor terrace at the Royal Festival Hall has a brand new look with a new destination bar, the Seventy5th Balcony Bar, now open - named in on honour of the Royal Festival Hall’s 75th anniversary coming up in 2026.
The terrace bar on Level 5 was originally completed in 1964 as part of an architectural extension to the river-facing section of the building and has been used primarily for interval drinks and receptions during large-scale events. With its new makeover the Seventy5th Balcony Bar takes this further, opening all day with its own kitchen and table service.
The long bar counter that stretches across the space has had a slick upgrade with elegant tiles, mirrors and pendant lights all nodding to the aesthetics and colour palette of Peter Moro who co-designed the building in the 1950s. Fun fact, Peter Moro was also the brains behind the famous Net and Ball carpet design that can still be seen throughout the entire building today.
Meanwhile, the spacious and sheltered 5th floor balcony that looks out onto the river has also been given a facelift. Where previously this prime spot was largely forgotten and unused, now plenty of new seating and planters have transformed the balcony into a choice spot to sit and enjoy the view.
Seventy5th serves a casual all-day menu. Breakfast is available from 10am (options include fresh granola, eggs and bacon or avo on toast), and a variety of small plates and sharing boards including hummus, croquettes, cheese boards and antipasti, is served from lunchtime onwards. There’s also a separate menu for kids.
The drinks menu includes signature cocktails including a hibiscus margarita and non-alcoholic cocktails like basil lemonade, plus an extensive wine list that includes English sparkling wines from Ridgeview Wine Estate and organic Verdejo from La Mancha.
Open Tue–Sun 10am–11pm. The Seventy5th is also available for private hire for events. Find out more here.
