Southbank Centre
Welcome to one of the world's leading centres for the performing arts.
The Southbank Centre has announced the much-anticipated first wave of artists performing at Little Simz’ Meltdown, taking place from Thu 12 June to Sun 22 June.
The annual artist-curated festival presents an exciting and eclectic mix of acts from across the world, and this year the north Londoner rapper Little Simz is assembling an outstanding line-up of artists whose works defy genres and push boundaries, and creating space for London’s youth club community culture that helped her foster her own talents as a teenager.
As curator of the festival, Little Simz will also perform her own concert on Sunday 22 June. The concert is a unique one-off collaboration with Southbank Centre Resident Orchestra Chineke! Orchestra that will include music from her stellar back catalogue and material from her upcoming sixth studio album Lotus, set for release on 9 May.
The first acts announced for Little Simz’ Meltdown include; the legendary Mike Skinner-led project The Streets (Thu 12 June at Royal Festival Hall), 2025 BRIT Award nominee Lola Young (Tue 17 June at Royal Festival Hall), Award-winning London-born rapper Ghetts (Wed 18 June at Royal Festival Hall), and the multi-GRAMMY® and Academy Award® winner Jon Batiste (Sat 21 June).
Meanwhile, the Queen Elizabeth Hall will host the British-Colombian singer-songwriter Sasha Keable (Sat 14 June), and the vocalist and co-founder of Swedish group Little Dragon, Yukimi (Wed 18 June).
The festival will also see Little Simz join forces with London’s Youth Clubs to transform Southbank Centre’s public spaces into a playground of curated activity, events and showcases, as part of a special festival programming project led by young producers from across the city.
Tickets for this first wave of concerts go on sale to Southbank Centre Members on Wednesday 26 March at 10am, and to the general public on Friday 28 March at 10am via southbankcentre.co.uk.
