You don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy a great day out sightseeing in South Bank.
South Bank's bars and restaurants are providing plenty of extra reasons to get out and about in the city this month with some huge discounts on dinner, drinks and all things sweet.
Here's a look at February's biggest deals and where to snap them up:
Until 16 March
One of South Bank's fanciest restaurants, the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie is always a special destination - not least because of that superb rooftop view! This winter OXO Brasserie presents a special four-course Winter Dining set menu (£40 including glass of bubbly) and a three-course set menu at the OXO Restaurant (three courses plus bubbly for £45). Enticing winter set menu options include braised pork cheek with cassoulet and anchovy dressing, duck confit with porcini mushrooms and a classic sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream.
This deal is available all day at the Brasserie on Sun and Mon, and from Tue-Fri until 6:30pm and after 8:30pm. At the Restaurant available Sun-Fri for lunch, Tue-Fri dinner until 6:30pm and after 8:30pm, Sun dinner service. Giving you all the more reason to get out in the city on those quiet winter evenings, every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday the atmospheric steakhouse and bar The Archduke opposite Royal Festival Hall is running its annual Wine Time promotion – choose any bottle of wine from the menu and you will get it for half-price. Simple as that!

Côte Brasserie’s weekday Prix Fixe special is continuing into February, with a fabulous two-course menu available for just £16.95. Available all-day Monday to Friday at their Royal Festival Hall restaurant, options on the menu include Côte classics and seasonal dishes such as the Seabass Rouge (sea bass in a red pepper beurre blanc, served with baby potatoes and tapenade).
Throughout February
South Bank’s very own Caribbean bar and restaurant Limin’ at Gabriel’s Wharf is bringing some summer vibes to the South Bank winter with a host of food and cocktail specials. On Thursdays and Fridays drop by for 2-4-1 house cocktails between 4pm and 7pm and on Fridays enjoy half-price Doubles (a classic Trinidadian street food of fried flatbread with spiced chickpeas, tangy tamarind sauce and sweet mango jam).

Especially for Valentine’s Ping Pong at Southbank Centre is treating dim sum lovers to a free portion of love buns on the house! Pre-book a table for two and you will get a complimentary portion of black and gold custard buns to end your meal on a sweet note.
