Garden Museum Cafe celebrates regional French cuisine

22 nd December 2023

On Friday evenings throughout January and February, the Garden Museum Café, the superb bistro that adjoins the Garden Museum behind Lambeth Palace, is running a series of Friday night dinners celebrating the regional cooking of France.

Brightening up the winter, acclaimed Head Chef, Myles Donaldson will be leading diners on a culinary journey through France showcasing authentic cuisine and traditional dishes that have inspired his cooking over the years. Each week will see a different French region in the spotlight.

What's on the menu?

The Tour de France series begins on Friday 12 January with an evening dedicated to Burgundy.

An historic province of great culinary and winemaking prestige, the prix fixe menu for the evening celebrates some of the lesser-known dishes of Burgundian cuisine, starting with ouefs en meurette, followed by a pork chop dijonaise and ending with poires en vin for dessert.

And of course, there's a choice offering of brilliant Burgundy wines on offer too, showcasing Burgundy's most exciting young producers.

How much does it cost?

The menu for each week features a prix fixe option—three courses for £29.

How do I book?

Dinner is served from 6pm and bookings can be made online here. Keep your eye on the Garden Museum Cafe website for updates on the upcoming menus in the Tour de France series.
