South Bank for book lovers
From specialist bookshops and second-hand market stalls to the country's biggest stage for literary events, South Bank is heaven...
As part of its super-sized programme of events to mark the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Royal Festival Hall, this autumn Southbank Centre welcomes Dua Lipa as the curator of the annual London Literature Festival.
The longest-running celebration of the written and spoken word of its kind in the capital, the London Literature Festival presents two weeks of talks, readings, discussions and conversations with prestigious authors, rising literary stars, leading cultural observers and those making waves in written and spoken word.
This year's festival takes place from 21 October to 1 November at venues across the Southbank Centre site with dozens of events on the programme.
Dua Lipa’s curatorship takes place in partnership with her Service95 Book Club and will include a mix of Dua’s favourite writers – both established and emerging – along with an array of free programming.
As curator, she will also lead a series of events across the festival's opening weekend (Sat 24 and Sun 26 Oct).
Full lineup and dates for ticket releases will be announced in Summer 2026.
