South Bank London

The Big Belly Bar just got a lot bigger!

03 rd December 2025

Big Belly Comedy Club is one of London’s leading live comedy brands. In 2024 the club moved into a new permanent home in South Bank, occupying a small bar venue behind the Sea Containers hotel. Every week throughout 2025 they have been hosting live comedy in the bar, while working on the ambitious fit-out for what is set to become south London’s biggest live comedy venue.

On Saturday 6 December, the newly enlarged Big Belly Comedy Club opens to the public. Occupying a whopping 5,500 square feet of space, the new look club boasts two live comedy venues; The Little Belly Room (seating 80) and The Big Belly Room (seating 240), as well as the Big Belly Bar and the Big Belly Hall – a new market hall style-space showcasing a choice selection of exciting local street food brands.

Food collabs already confirmed to be joining the Big Belly Hall include Sensational Sandwiches, the insanely popular sandwich chef whose TikTok and Instagram pages count millions of fans. This will be Fraser (aka ‘Sandwich Boy’)’s first foray into hosting an actual sandwich shop, bringing his cult favourite combos to the South Bank from this December.
