London is set for a Harry Styles takeover this summer! Following the spring launch of his new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, the pop icon will be playing an epic series of gigs at Wembley, and will be curating this year's edition of the Meltdown festival, happening at Southbank Centre from 11 to 21 June.
Meltdown festival is the world's longest-running artist-curated festival. Previous curators over the past three decades have included rock and pop royalty the likes of David Bowie, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave and Grace Jones.
As the Southbank Centre embarks on a celebratory summer marking their 75th birthday in 2026, they have leaned right into the spirit of celebration with Harry Styles in the driving seat.
For this edition of Meltdown, Styles is set to bring his own unique style of self-expression and creative curiosity to the programme, drawing on his broad influences – from pop, soul, electronic and rock to underground scenes and emerging young British talent.
Alongside a headline concert from Harry Styles himself, the festival will offer a public programme of interactive, participatory and free events, designed to engage young people across the UK and reflect the ways younger audiences increasingly experience culture.
Commenting on his curatorship, Harry Styles said: “I’m deeply honoured to curate the Meltdown festival, especially for the Southbank Centre’s 75th anniversary year. My goal as the curator is to share the music and art that I love, and to celebrate the rich history of the venue.”
