South Bank student deals to kick off Fresher’s Week

It’s back to class this month and across South Bank there are plenty of places where you can flash your student card and take advantage of some great Fresher’s Week deals.

20% off Fresher’s Special at Nando’s

The annual Nando’s Fresher’s Special is back from 18 September until 15 October. Valid all day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays students get 20% off their bill by signing up for free online at nandos.co.uk.

South Bank has two branches of Nando’s, one located on Stamford Street and a second flashy branch at The Sidings (next to Waterloo Station), which is also currently the only London location where you can test drive Nando's new frozen cocktails.

2-4-1 drinks at The Understudy

National Theatre’s craft bar and street food spot The Understudy has some great offers for students running across fresher’s week and beyond. From 17 September until 1 October students can take advantage of the fresher’s meal deal that includes a pizza, thali, Mumbai toastie or a Lucky’s Hot Chicken sando plus a KERB larger, house wine or soft drink for just £10!

Beyond Fresher’s Week students get 20% off all food and drinks every day at The Understudy (just flash your student card) and Mon-Thu from 3pm to 6pm there’s a 2-4-1 student happy hour on KERB lagers, house wine and soft drinks.

£3 cinema tickets at BFI Southbank

If you’re aged 16-25, make sure to take advantage of the BFI’s amazing 25 & Under offer that entitles you to tickets for film screenings at the BFI Southbank cinema for just £3 (festival tickets cost £5)!

The £3 ticket special is available year-round, all you need to do to take advantage is to sign up for a free BFI account online at bfi.org.uk.
