Big Belly Comedy Club (located behind the Sea Containers building near Blackfriars), is one of London’s leading indie comedy clubs, much admired for bringing major celebrity names back into the small, intimate comedy club spaces where their careers began.
This autumn, Big Belly are taking things up a notch with one of their biggest stand-up celebrations yet – the Secret Headliner Season.
Regular visitors to the club will no doubt already be aware of Big Belly’s knack for bringing together eclectic comedic lineups that mix unknown newcomers and the occasional unannounced household name looking to try out new material.
The Secret Headliner Season takes that rebellious energy and ramps it up even further!
Throughout the autumn the club promises a season filled with A-list names taking up the mic – and keeping things doubly exciting, the headliners will only be announced days before the gig.
Major names who are already confirmed to be performing include Harriet Kemsley, Ari Shaffir, Red Richardson, Sara Pascoe and local favourite Aurie Styla, while the first headline act to kick off the season is none other than Michael McIntyre.
The Secret Headliner Season of course it all about keeping things secret, although Big Belly have already been teasing a host of other major acts with surnames that include Carr, Lee, and, ahem... Lycett, to name just a few...!
How do I get tickets to the Secret Headline season?
As an indie club, Big Belly is a small capacity venue that only seats up to around 200 people.
If you want a chance to see your faves presenting their newest material in South Bank, you need to get in line first, which is where the 'Insider's Access List' comes in!
