FRI OCT 13 – SAT NOV 4
This petrifying new show at The London Dungeon sees guests come face to face with a man who has been usurped by demons from beyond – and his desperate family who are trying to save him. Do you dare face the haunting spirits and the childlike phantom that has a grip on the house? The London Dungeon is considered the ‘Home of Halloween’ in London, with 16 horrifying shows and thrilling underground rides to experience, and this latest addition promises to be one of the most terrifying yet. > FIND OUT MORE
SAT 21 OCT – SUN 29 OCT
Embark on a 40-minute ghost tour boat journey with London Eye River Cruises along the Thames and learn about infamous horrifying stories of creepy murderers and angry ghosts from London’s past. Listen out for the phantom cries that haunt the bridges crossing the river and watch as the spooky on-board actors share London’s most terrifying ghost stories. Tickets include a “murky mulled wine” to enjoy while you cruise the river (non-alcoholic options are also available). The cruise departs from the London Eye pier at 7:45pm. > FIND OUT MORE
WED 4 OCT – WED 8 NOV
This month Wahaca brings the colours, tastes and sounds of the colourful Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) to their vibrant South Bank restaurant with traditional calacas (colourfully painted skeletal figurines) and papel picado - specially-created altars reflecting the traditional ofrendas found in Mexican homes. Festive feasting is of course an essential and Wahaca is introducing two seasonal specials to celebrate; the four cheese jalapeño empanada and the Marmalade Mezcalita. On the evening of the Day of the Dead (2 November), all diners get a shot of Gran Centenario tequila on the house. > FIND OUT MORE
SUN 29 OCT AND TUE 31 OCT
Watch a horror classic on the big screen at the BFI Southbank this Halloween. Showing at the incredibly atmospheric NFT1 screen on October 31 is the nightmarish French film from 1960 Eyes Without a Face (showing at 6:10pm), followed by Stanley Kubrick’s terrifying masterpiece The Shining at 8:15pm. Meanwhile at the BFI IMAX, John Carpenter's groundbreaking sci-fi horror from 1982 The Thing is showing in IMAX on Sun 29 Oct. > FIND OUT MORE
FRI 27 OCT – SUN 5 NOV
This Halloween a scary fairytale witch is flying into Shrek’s Adventure and surprising visitors with tricks, treats and photo opportunities! Meet other favourite fairytale characters like Sleeping Beauty, the Muffin Man, Pinocchio, Cinderella and of course Shrek himself, mix potions, pet dragons and take a ride on the magical 4-D bus at this whimsical and highly immersive fairtytale experience for kids. > FIND OUT MORE
SAT 28 OCT
The glam rooftop cocktail bar 12th Knot at Sea Containers London is throwing a hell of a Halloween party this weekend with Halloween-themed cocktails and musical mischief from DJ Andy Purnell on the decks (plus special guests!). Guests are encouraged to leave their inhibitions at the door and dress in their wildest Halloween attire. Mamsuka's annual Halloween bash is back with a big bash on Saturday night, plus a student's Halloween night on October 31st. The party on the Mamuska platform in Leake Street boasts DJs all night and special themed cocktails.
