Big Belly Comedy Club is one of London’s leading live comedy brands and their intimate club behind the Sea Containers in South Bank is their permanent home. Named joint winner of London's Best Comedy Club at the 2026 Chortle Awards, this relatively new venue is most definitely on the rise!
Big Belly hosts live stand-up comedy seven nights a week, with shows typically presenting a showcase of four stand-up comedians, mixing well-known and insta-famous names with upcoming local talent.
Surprise famous guests are also a common feature, with major comedy stars and celebrities often dropping in unanannounced to trial out their latest material and have some fun on the mic.
On weekends, there’s a variety of fun comedy parties to book for, such as the Ding Dong Gong Show x Bottomless Brunch. Described as “Britain’s Got Talent Vs Ann Summers Party!”, this raucous Saturday afternoon of comedy presents fresh comic hopefuls given 5 minutes to impress – the twist is the audience gets to decide their fate in a good-natured, interactive but brutal standup event. Keeping the fun flowing, you can also upgrade your ticket to include 90 minutes of bottomless booze and a pizza.
Make sure to pitch up early for drinks at the small and lively bar before the show for happy hour drinks and a pizza from the Mr Pizza Baby food truck.
