Every year, the BFI presents a special night of Halloween screenings mixing horror styles and genres to bring you the perfect mix of jump scares and cult-classics. This year's Halloween lineup on Friday 31 October includes:
OFFICE KILLER (at 6:30pm), 1997 cult classic comedy-horror about a disgruntled magazine editor, working from home due to budget cuts, who goes on a massive murder spree. A camp, shlocky slasher flick that has become an unmissable cult classic.
THE HUNGER (at 8:45pm), Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie and Susan Sarandon star in this stylish erotic vampire horror from 1983. Oozing with style, it is a bold exploration of queerness, humanity and desire.
FRANKENSTEIN (at 8:15pm), Guillermo del Toro's long-awaited new adaptation of Mary Shelley's brilliant novel comes to Britain's biggest cinema screen, the BFI IMAX, especially for Halloween.
THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (at 11:45pm), marking the 50th anniversary of this iconic and groundbreaking film, the BFI IMAX presents a special midnight Halloween screening.
