Merry Christmas ya filthy animals! By popular demand the annual Miracle on Leake Street Christmas party is back for its 5th edition, kicking of from 6pm on Thursday 7 December at the Leake Street graffiti tunnel.

The free event sees the famous graffiti tunnel beneath Waterloo Station transformed into an alternative Christmas wonderland with market shopping, pop-up bars, pop-up cinema and even a snowboard simulator.

One of the many highlights of the event is the festive film screening on a giant screen inside the tunnel, with this year’s feature being the iconic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

There’s also plenty of other festive entertainment on the night too including cabaret performances from the award-winning Pi the Mime, Santa DJ sets courtesy of Christmas dive bar Humbug and even a snowboard simulator with some awesome prizes to be won on the night!.

A Christmas pop-up market will be providing plenty of dining and gift shopping opportunities and of course there’s Leake Street bars Mamuśka!, Passyunk Avenue and Draughts keeping things festive and toasty long into the night.

Other free activities to join in include graffiti workshops from Leake Street artist-in-residence Max The Virus, festive face painting for the kids and free Christmas wreath-making classes.

Cash and card donations will be collected through the night in aid of the Waterloo Foodbank and adding to the festive cheer there’s even a snow machine blowing snow flurries through the tunnel to make sure you catch the perfect reel.

When and where is Miracle on Leake Street happening?

The party kicks off on Thursday 7 December from 6pm at Leake Street - entrances via York Road, The Sidings (adjoining Waterloo Station) or Lower Marsh. Entrance is FREE!
