December in London is all about getting into that festive spirit. And of course nothing screams "Christmas Is Almost Here!" than mince pies, mulled wine and singing along to some classic Christmas carols.

Here's a look at where to join in the carol singing this year in South Bank.

Christmas at the Florence Nightingale Museum

WHEN: Wed 13 Dec from 6pm

Join the Florence Nightingale Museum for a special festive evening with a museum tour and a carol concert performed by a Welsh choir. Meet Florence Nightingale and explore the museum, then toast the season with wine and mince pies (included with your ticket), and soak in a festive performance by the Côr Y Boro Borough Welsh Choir.

Christmas Classics at Southbank Centre

WHEN: Fri 15 Dec at 7:30pm, Sat 16 at 3pm and 7:30pm, Sun 17 Dec at 2pm and 6pm

Hit all the high notes as you sing along to your favourite festive classics with host YolanDa Brown and a sumptuous symphony orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall. Southbank Centre’s annual Christmas Classics concert is always a festive favourite with a songbook that covers all the biggest favourites. The performance is led by a full philharmonic orchestra and a professional choir (Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus on 15 and 17 Dec, and London Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir on Sat 16 Dec).

Christmas Carols by Candlelight at St John’s Waterloo

WHEN: Sun 17 Dec from 5pm

Get into the festive spirit with the annual candlelight carol service at the beautifully renovated St John’s Waterloo church. Singers from St John’s Church Choir, Coin Street Community Choir and Take Note Chamber Choir come together to perform Christmas favourites and special choral pieces at this traditional carol-singing evening. Stick around after the service to shop the Christmas stalls and enjoy some mulled wine and mince pies.
