Super Bowl Sunday Tailgate Party

Leake Street’s Philadelphia dive bar Passyunk Avenue is London’s home of American sports watching. And of course, there’s no bigger US sporting event than the Super Bowl.

In honour of Super Bowl LVIII, Passyunk Avenue’s epic Super Bowl Sunday tailgate party on Leake Street is back on Sunday 11 February. Tables inside Passyunk Avenue to watch the match live (kick-off from 11:30pm) on the big screen are fully booked, although there’s still the opportunity to join in the Super Bowl Sunday fun at Passyunk’s annual Tailgate Party.

In the US and Canada, ‘tailgate parties’ are typically held in the stadium car park before a big match. Sports fans gather in the hours before kick-off to drink and barbecue together next to their cars in a colourful and friendly pre-match party atmosphere.

Passyunk Avenue will once again be recreating the tailgate spirit inside the Leake Street graffiti tunnel.

The bar opens from 12pm with food, drinks, All-American snacks and games including beer pong, ping pong and football nets and from 3pm they'll be screening AFC and NFC Championship repeats on the big screen,

From 6pm guest pop-ups Mondo Brewing and Heaven Hill Distillery will be slinging drinks and merch in the tunnel and then from 11:30pm it's time to get ready to dig and watch Super Bowl LVIII.

You don't need tickets for the tailgate party, although if you would like to watch the match itself afterward all tables inside the bar are fully booked, so it's standing room only (based on a first come first served basis).
