Super Bowl Sunday Tailgate Party

Leake Street’s Philadelphia dive bar Passyunk Avenue is London’s home of American sports watching. And of course, there’s no bigger US sporting event than the Super Bowl.

In honour of Super Bowl LIX, Passyunk Avenue’s epic Super Bowl Sunday tailgate party on Leake Street is back on Sunday 9 February. Tables inside Passyunk Avenue to watch the match live (kick-off from 11:30pm) on the big screen are fully booked, although there’s still the opportunity to join in the Super Bowl Sunday fun at Passyunk’s annual Tailgate Party and there's no need to book a ticket, just pitch up and enjoy the party.

In the US and Canada, ‘tailgate parties’ are typically held in the stadium car park before a big match. Sports fans gather in the hours before kick-off to drink and barbecue together next to their cars in a colourful and friendly pre-match party atmosphere.

Passyunk Avenue recreates the iconic tailgate vibe with a party inside the Leake Street tunnel. Expect plenty of classic bar sports like beer pong, an extra pop-up beer bar and a big screen in the tunnel for fans to watch the late-night Super Bowl action live, including this year's half-time performance by the one and only Kendrick Lamar.

This year's Super Bowl final is hosted in New Orleans kicking off at 5:30pm (CT), which is 11:30pm in the UK.
