A father looking for his daughter joins a community of hedonistic ravers on a journey that will change all their lives, in Óliver Laxe’s existential speculative thriller that won the 2025 Jury Prize in Cannes.
Passing through ambiguous, borderless geographies, Sirāt's hypnotic rhythm reorients our senses. Set to a thrumming score composed by underground Berlin-based producer Kangding Ray, watching Sirāt in IMAX is as much a visual experience as it is a sonic one, with the BFI IMAX's awesome 12-channel sound system creating a uniquely immersive environment.
Performances shine, from non-professional nomadic ravers to Sergi López's grieving father. Both highly tactile and metaphysical, with meaning pulsating beneath its surface, Sirât invites us to trace our own path through the desert mirage.
