Discover the next generation of talented designers, makers and artists at New Creatives, Oxo Tower Wharf’s annual graduate season programme of special exhibitions.

Throughout June and July, a series of exhibitions hosted at the atmospheric Bargehouse, spotlight the work produced by this year’s graduates from leading universities, art colleges and art schools.

Across the season hundreds of inspiring projects will be on show spanning disciplines including fashion, fine art, photography, illustration, performance design and architecture, with each week led by a different arts institution.

Archisource: Drawing of the Year Exhibition 

WHEN: 6–9 June, open 10am–6pm (Fri 10am–8pm) 
Presented by Archisource in partnership with Affinity, the exhibition represents works by top architects, designers, artists and emerging talents recognised in the fifth Drawing of the Year Awards.  Explore a showcase of the best drawings and creative imagery from around the world, through works ranging from hand-drawn masterpieces and standout visualisations, to incredible architectural drawings.

Made in Brunel Presents: INTERACTION  

WHEN: 13–16 June, open 11am–6pm 
Showcasing the most innovative graduate projects from 2024 in design, technology, and digital media from the Brunel Design School. The showcase includes projects from all design and technology disciplines, covering everything from fashion, furniture and wearable tech to 3D animation and motion graphics.

Kingston School of Art: Drumroll 

WHEN: 21–23 June, open 11am–6pm
The Illustration Animation 2023/2024 graduate group from Kingston School of Art proudly present their exhibition: Drumroll. Writers, animators, painters, game designers and book and print makers, are but few of the multifaceted roles the Illustration Animation course gladly takes on.

RWCMD: BALANCE: An Exhibition of Design for Performance 

WHEN: 28–30 June, open 11:30am–7pm (Sun 11:30am–4:30pm) 
Graduate designers, performers and technicians combine to present a fresh look at the work of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Featuring designs and artifacts for productions, projects and films made at the college and as part of external collaborations, Balance showcases the work of 50 graduating designers and makers.

Made to Matter 

WHEN: 3–7 July, open 11am–6pm
'Made to Matter' is a design and craft collective that celebrates the role of designer makers and their importance within the creative industry, championing the value of craftsmanship and how it intertwines with modern design. Working in a variety of disciplines, including metal, wood, polymers, ceramics, textiles and digital, the collective showcases a variety of made outcomes that highlight the significance of hands-on making in our current and future world.

Arts University Bournemouth: Bellowes Collective 

WHEN: 12–14 July, open 11am–6pm 
The Bellows Collective showcases the latest talent emerging from the BA (Hons) Photography Course from the Arts University Bournemouth.

art-K: Blended Journeys 

WHEN: 18–28 July, open 11am–6pm (19 July 11am–4pm, 28 July 11am–3pm) 
art-K’s annual exhibition is a celebration of the developing artistic talent nurtured in their supportive, skill-based clubs. Visitors can view hundreds of artworks created by over 6000 students ranging from age 6 to 60+, working across painting drawing, college, sculpture and installation.
