The latest exhibition at South Bank’s contemporary ceramic arts gallery, County Hall Pottery, celebrates the art of storytelling through ceramics, showcasing the work of six contemporary artists.
From ancient Greek amphorae depicting mythological epics to modern sculptural interpretations of memory and identity, clay has served as a powerful narrative medium for millennia.
In Narratives in Clay, each artist uses clay in distinctive and unique ways to explore themes of mythology, personal history, tradition, and the interplay of imagination and reality.
From the witty and the whimsical to the mystical and mysterious, the resulting collection is an intriguing display featuring figurative sculpture, glazed tiles, wall pieces and dynamic cut-outs.
