Maximum Kubrick

Stanley Kubrick, a cinematic giant and master of the big screen. is being celebrated this year on the biggest cinema screen in the UK with a special season at the BFI IMAX.

Kubrick has the reputation of a master admired by masters – from Martin Scorsese to Steven Spielberg to Orson Welles to Christopher Nolan. His works are landmarks of their respective genres, from costume drama (Barry Lyndon) to comedy (Dr. Strangelove), horror (The Shining) and science fiction (2001: A Space Odyssey).

This stunning IMAX season has something for everyone, including special screenings of the BFI’s glorious IMAX 70mm print of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
