Max Richter presents 90 Minutes of Sleep

Max Richter marks World Sleep Day weekend 2024 at the BFI IMAX with the first ever spatial presentation of music from his acclaimed SLEEP project.

The 90-minute, 360° audio event is accompanied by specially commissioned meditative visuals on the UK's largest cinema screen, as well as a film of Max and his ensemble performing Sleep from his studio in rural Oxfordshire.

Released in 2015, the Sleep project has become a modern musical phenomenon. The 8.5 hour work has been performed in full-length live performances in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. For the first time ever it will be presented in South Bank as an immersive 360° audio, 90-minute-long cinematic event at the BFI IMAX.

Being Sunday morning, the dress code for this special screening hosted by Max Richter himself is casual, so come as you are, in PJs or your favourite oversized hoodie.
