The 68th edition of the BFI London Film Festival brings more than 200 original new films to South Bank to make their cinematic debut on the biggest screens in town.
Taking place from 9-20 October, this year's festival spreads out across the South Bank with film screenings and events happening at the BFI Southbank, BFI IMAX and the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall.
The LFF programme is huge, covering all genres of cinema from across the world, and every year sees major new British films presenting their world premieres here in South Bank.
The festival kicks off with a star-studded opening gala night film screening at the Royal Festival Hall. Opening this year's festival is Steve McQueen's war-time drama Blitz. Starring Saoirse Ronan, the film follows the story of an east London family who have been separated during the Blitz - many of the scenes were filmed on location right around the corner in Waterloo!
