Baz Luhrmann’s bombastic technicolour and sound showcase of Elvis Presley is the second film from the Australian director, following 2022’s biopic Elvis, to explore the man and his music.
This time, Luhrmann presents the results of his extensive research as a film that is part documentary and part concert.
Remixing archival material with never-before-seen footage from the singer's legendary residency in Las Vegas, the only storyteller in the film is Elvis himself. Using his own words, the film showcases the larger-than-life spectacle of his performances alongside behind-the-scenes moments and off-guard comments tempered by Elvis's easy-going, tenderly flippant charm.
Making this an extra-special cinematic experience is the BFI IMAX’s unparalleled sound, with the biggest screen in the UK also boasting the strongest IMAX 12-channel sound for that true concert feeling. A must for Elvis fans!
