Inspired by the acclaimed book Edgelands (2011) by poets Paul Farley and Michael Symmons Roberts, this exhibition explores landscapes that exist between the urban and the rural - the overlooked, transitional spaces that blur the boundaries of city and countryside.
The exhibition brings together six contemporary ceramic artists and makers from across the country, who are drawn to these unobserved landscapes as a source of inspiration.
The works on display reflect the materiality, texture, and spirit of these spaces, capturing the interplay of nature and the built environment through sculptural form, surface treatment and conceptual interpretation. Through unique ceramic creations, themes of reclamation, impermanence, and transformation are explored.
Exhibition launch party Monday 17 March 6pm–9pm.
