Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Three is based on the novel Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert and delivers the epic conclusion to Villeneuve's blockbuster trilogy.
Starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides and Zendaya as Chani, the rebellion leaders of the fierce dune planet of Arrakis, the events of Dune Part Three take place 17 years after Part Two. According to director Denis Villeneuve; “we see Paul dealing with the consequences of having too much power”. New characters featuring in this film include a fierce new villain, Scytale, played by Robert Pattinson.
Frenzied excitement surrounded the trailer for this third and final film when it was released in March, and the first batch of tickets for the BFI IMAX's 70mm screenings almost immediately sold out when they went on sale in early April.
More screenings and tickets are due to be announced soon, although if this film is anything like the previous two, cinema-goers can look forward to a bonanza of screenings taking place on Britain's biggest screen at the BFI IMAX.
