A firm fan favourite, Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy was filmed in IMAX and opportunities to watch these three epic films on 70mm film are rare experiences.
Marking the 85th anniversary of the first Batman comics, the BFI IMAX in South Bank, one of the biggest cinema screens in Europe, is hosting screenings of each of the three films across consecutive weekends.
The special screening series opens on Saturday 14 September with Batman Begins, followed by a screening of the iconic The Dark Knight on Sunday 15 September. The series ends on Saturday 21 September with the final film in the trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises.
