Located in the historic County Hall building next to Westminster Bridge, The Strings is a unique ‘musical restaurant’ that specialises in Italian cuisine and Spanish tapas.
Launched in 2021 by husband-and-wife team Santy Masciaro and Elise Weber, The Strings serves Spanish tapas and Italian cuisine inspired by Santy’s Italian homeland.
An extra special feature of the restaurant is the live classical guitar music performed by Santy himself, who in addition to being a seasoned restaurateur (the pair previously ran their own restaurant in France), is also a professional classical guitarist. Every evening from 7pm catch Santy performing famous pieces for classical guitar by composers such as Rodrigo, Tarrega, Albeniz, Granados, Verdi and Rossini.
Located in the same building as the long-running Agatha Christie show Witness for the Prosecution, The Strings is an ideal pre-theatre venue. Pre-theatre dining options include a six-course tapas menu for two people (£70), three-course pasta menus (from £38) or a three-course steak menu, or alternatively choose from the a la carte menu.
The Strings presents the opportunity to get right to the heart of the action from the comfort of an ideally located restaurant. Situated inside the historic County Hall, the London Eye is literally just around the corner!
New Year's Eve guests can enjoy a welcome glass of Prosecco followed by a three-course menu mixing Spanish and Italian influences with dishes like lamb chops with rosemary, patatas bravas and tiramisu for dessert.
The four-course set menus start from £95, kids menus (12 and under) cost £45. Contact [email protected] for more info and to book.
