If you're headed to Gillray's, bring an empty stomach and high expectations. Situated inside the Marriott County Hall Hotel in full view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Gillray's fine food is as remarkable as its surroundings.
Everything about Gillray's is a seeming nod to British culture and heritage. Their meat is sourced from British farms. Their bar boasts not only fantastic staff but over 100 types of gin. Their service is of the highest quality in the British sense - subtle, yet polished. Even the decor is reflective of the old-world grandeur of the Houses of Parliament with the building, County Hall, once being the home of the London City Council.
The bar is open until midnight and serves a mixture of classic and contemporary cocktails, a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits and is a charming spot to relax with a drink away from the crowds down on the Queen's Walk.
You will be hard-pressed to find a better view of the fireworks than from the Marriott County Hall Hotel’s Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar! Especially for the New Year’s Eve party, Executive Chef Jamie Welch has designed a bespoke five-course wine-paired menu. This is a black tie affair starting with Champagne and canapes at 7pm, and following dinner there’s live music and dancing until 2am.

An elegant venue for this year's festive season celebratory lunch. For large groups you can hire Gillray's private dining room. Festive packages cost £150 per person for a three-course meal, welcome drink, room hire, half a bottle of wine per guest and tea, coffee and petits fours to finish (including mince pies and stollen! Keeping things super festive the three-course menu boasts all the Christmas classics such as roast turkey, smoked salmon and Christmas pudding for dessert. Alternatively, for smaller groups there are also three-course set menus available in the main dining room.
