History, heritage and quintessential British charm.
Located inside the historic County Hall building, you won't find more remarkable London views than at this iconic hotel.
Sitting right on the banks of the river next to Westminster Bridge the hotel looks straight onto two of London's most famous landmarks - Big Ben and the London Eye. Many of London's other biggest attractions such as the National Gallery, National Theatre, Tate Modern or Southbank Centre are all a walk away, or hop on one of the river shuttles that stop at the London Eye pier just outside.
A quintessentially British landmark, County Hall was opened in 1922 by King George V and Queen Mary as the headquarters of the local London government. This early 20th-century history is maintained in the impressive public spaces filled with wood-paneled walls, marble fireplaces and grand chandeliers.
Meanwhile, the rooms have all been given a luxury contemporary fit with pillowtop bedding, opulent marble bathrooms, 24hour room service and in the most coveted suites, balconies that open right onto the river. The hotel also has a gym and a 25-metre indoor pool for guests.
For a special British treat book for afternoon tea at The Library, served with British sparkling wine and a view of Big Ben. For dinner Gillray's Steakhouse, known for its excellent steaks, is a winning choice and afterward you can head to the adjoining bar which boasts more than 100 different craft gin labels.
