Southbank Centre’s annual Christmas market on the Queen’s Walk is back, spreading festive cheer from its cute Alpine-style pop-up chalets along the banks of the river throughout the lead-up to Christmas.!
Stretching along the promenade between the Royal Festival Hall and Jubilee Gardens, there’s plenty to feast on with a wide array of pop-up bars and delicious street food stalls to explore.
Indulge in truffle burgers, duck wraps, Dutch pancakes, the ever-popular Choco-Fruit and of course tasty winter classics like molten cheese toasties, while shopping for gifts, jewellery and decorations made by independent creatives.
Keeping things warm and toasty, there's also mulled wine and hot chocolate to enjoy while you stroll beneath the twinkling lights and for the kids a ride on South Bank's old-fashioned merry-go-round is always entertaining.
In addition to the Southbank Centre's Christmas market chalets, there's also a fun collection of festive pop-ups to enjoy.
For drinks with the most iconic Big Ben views - including hot negronis, mulled wine, a variety of festive cocktails and the most decadent hot chocolates - visit The Thirsty Farrier where you can take a seat by the river in their festive winter garden.
Beltane and Pop are also returning to the market this year. Make sure to try their insta-famous Feuerzngenbowle - a flaming German mulled wine served with a touch of spiced rum and topped with caramelized sugar.
And for apres-ski party vibes The Curling Club is back beneath the bridge with its popular ice-free curling lanes plus DJs and a an Alpine-themed street food menu.
*The market opens daily until 24 Dec. Closed on 25 Dec. Last day of market trading is 26 Dec.
