Fresh from his performance at All Points East festival, Vince Staples kicks off his Cry Baby tour with a performance at the atmospheric underground venue 26 Leake Street.
Following a string of acclaimed introspective projects such as Ramona Park (a melancholic tribute to his hometown) and Dark Times (deeper, more personal themes), Vince’s latest album Cry Baby is described as “a more outwardly facing artistic statement and piece of social commentary”.
Unashamedly rock-punk in energy, his latest album sees the rapper and singer taking aim at American instability with biting critiques of police violence, hyper-capitalism and racial injustice, delivered in his own inimitable style.
