Based on hours of interviews conducted by the playwright with his own mother, this sprawling play is an intimate portrait of one woman's life over a period of eight decades.
Born in 1943 in working-class Australia, Alice left the island in the 1980s as a divorced woman and moved to London where she then sought to reestablish her family again. Alice’s complex relationships become a common thread in her personal journey, in this intimate and sensitive portrait of an entire life told from birth to death.
