Coinciding with the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM, this half-term the Florence Nightingale Museum celebrates the STEM contributions of four trailblazing Victorian women.
Step into the footsteps of these pioneering women who defied conventions and made advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Find out more about Ada Lovelace's pioneering work in computer programming, Mary Anning’s discoveries in palaeontology, Mary Somerville’s astronomical studies and learn about Florence Nightingale’s ground-breaking statistical work that still influences how healthcare systems work today.
There are hands-on family activities taking place throughout the day at the museum including make-and-take craft sessions. There are also dedicated child-centric interactive trails to follow through the museum (all activities are included in the general museum entrance price).
