See through the eyes of an astronaut with Space Station Earth, a live concert by composer Ilan Eshkeri, exploring how seeing Earth from space reshapes human perspective.

Eshkeri’s album is performed live on synthesisers with an orchestra and choir, unfolding as a continuous musical work that moves from moments of near stillness to overwhelming scale.

The concert is presented alongside a film written and directed by Eshkeri, created from footage captured by astronauts aboard the International Space Station and imagery filmed at European Space Agency locations.

Projected across three large-scale screens, the film unfolds in dialogue with the music, framing the band and orchestra and extending the music’s sense of scale and emotion. The work engages with the ‘overview effect’ – the profound shift in perception that comes from seeing Earth from space – allowing you to encounter this perspective through the unfolding of the music.
