On this month's free guided walking tour of South Bank, we explore just how green South Bank is.
Looking back over London's industrial revolution and forwards into the city's inspiring Net Zero future, this walk explores South Bank's remarkable evolution from being one of London's most polluted neighbourhoods, to an area that is on its way to becoming Net Zero within the next few years.
From fields and marshes, to factories and breweries, warehouses and car parks, and finally the modern, tree-lined riverside neighbourhood we know and love today - this professionally guided walk shares the colourful story of South Bank's changing attitudes towards nature and the environment, and the different people and spaces who have influenced this story.
Meeting Point: The tour starts from outside Doggetts Coat & Badge Pub (next to Blackfriars Bridge)
