Coinciding with the first day of the bank holiday weekend, Soapbox Science is back in South Bank for the afternoon, with 12 women and non-binary scientists from leading institutions and laboratories sharing experiments with the public in ways that are guaranteed to delight young audiences.
Taking place from 1pm to 4pm on Observation Point (in front of Gabriel's Wharf), visitors can look forward to lots of hands-on experiments and demonstrations with the opportunity to learn about all kinds of scientific subjects in new, imaginative ways.
Hosted in cities across the world, Soapbox Science aims to eliminate gender inequality in science by raising the profile, and challenging the public’s view, of women and non-binary people in science, at lively free events hosted in accessible public locations.
