Join Saturday Sessions for free monthly workshops in the Southbank centre. Sing, dance and story-tell, whilst meeting new people.
Once a month in the Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival hall a different Author, Artist or Dancer leads an exciting workshop. There are no tickets required and each event is free!
Sat 13 Sep 2025 | Creating with Tasnim Mahdy
Artist Tasnim Mahdy leads a workshop on collaborative mural-making, using collage, cut-outs and movement. A huge art installation will be made and stick around after for a freestyle ballroom boogie!
Sat 4 Oct 2025 | Storytelling with Hannah Lee
Join author Hannah Lee and Illustrator Allen Fatimaharan in imaginative storytelling and live illustration. Stick around afterwards for a freestyle ballroom boogie for everyone!
Sat 8 Nov 2025 | Breakdancing with Rain Crew
Watch break-dancer Chilly from Rain crew bring their signature moves, before joining in a breaking workshop. Rain Crew is a dance crew and arts organisation, who want to bring people together through music, culture and dance. Stick around afterwards for a ballroom boogie!
Sat 6 Dec 2025 | Singing Together
Join Southbank centre Youth Voices for an afternoon of singing and choral connections. Choir leaders will teach a group song, with the session ending with a performance from South Bank centre Youth Voices choir. At 3pm, the Youth Voices will perform their Winter showcase!
