Presented as part of the BFI’s two-month stop-motion animation film season, this free exhibition showcases the incredible art and science behind the five critically acclaimed films from the LAIKA studio.

Celebrating the studio's unparalleled dedication to detail, this exhibition features intricately crafted sets, costumes and awe-inspiring props – some never before seen – from LAIKA’s vast production archives.

Among the more than 700 artifacts on display are items from every studio department, including illustrated concept and design, storyboards, artistic inspirations, maquettes, costumes, puppetry and prop sets.

Dynamic digital content also adds a further dimension, highlighting the painstaking attention to detail and the boundless creativity that goes into the making of every single frame.

LAIKA: Frame by Frame invites audiences to step inside, as well as behind, the scenes with new scenic reproductions, built at a ‘human scale’, that transport visitors from the real world into Coraline's Other Garden as they enter the exhibition, and marvel at the amazing collection on display.

* Please note that due to the popularity of this exhibition, advanced booking is essential! Entrance tickets are free and can be booked online here.
