Jeppe Hein's Appearing Rooms fountain

Jeppe Hein’s Appearing Rooms, one of the Southbank Centre's most popular installations returns for another summer.

The dancing fountain installation sees different sections of the fountain switched on at unpredictable intervals, creating watery ‘rooms’ that kids (and adults) love to explore (especially on a hot day).

Your kids will inevitably get completely drenched running in and out of the fountain, so be sure to bring some dry clothes and a towel.

The Appearing Rooms pop up during the summer on the Riverside Terrace in front of the entrance to the Queen Elizabeth Hall. The fountains are switched on daily (depending on the weather) and there is no entry cost.
