Get in line to see this brand-new work from writer Suzie Miller and director Justin Martin, the same team who brough the multi-award-winning hit legal drama Prima Facie to the stage.

Rosamund Pike makes her National Theatre debut as an eminent High Court Judge forced to reconcile her professional life with her role as wife, mother, friend and feminist.

A searing examination of motherhood and modern masculinity, the play follows Jessica Parks, a smart and compassionate maverick at the top of her career as an eminent London Crown Court Judge. At work she’s changing and challenging the system one case at a time. But behind the robe, Jessica is a karaoke fiend, a loving wife and a supportive parent.

While managing the impossible juggling act every working mother faces, an event threatens to throw her life completely off balance. Can she hold her family upright?
