Hi Friend: Mason Newman

Mason Newman is a 24-year-old artist and fashion designer from Birmingham. Teaming up with young designers’ incubator Hyper Hyper, Newman presents his debut solo exhibition Hi Friend this February at The Sidings.

For his debut show Newman has taken over three units at The Sidings where he is showing 37 original canvases, 100o pieces of his fun, customised Dollar Bills and a range of unique merchandise and signed prints.

Navigating themes of celebrity, sex, wealth, and mass consumerism, Newman’s visual language is bright, bold and witty and has captured the attention of cult street fashion brand Ed Hardy, as well as Madonna’s Material Girl label, both of whom have worked on collaborations with the artist.

Newman describes this exhibition as “an introduction to my works and style” and all works in the exhibition are on sale.
