On select Fridays during the school holidays the Florence Nightingale Museum presents its Meet Miss Nightingale events, a unique opportunity to interact with the story of the famous Lady with the Lamp.
These 30-minute performances take place three times a day and are free with your museum entrance tickets. Through the performance, fresh light is cast on the incredible life and work of Florence Nightingale. Hear her story in her own words as she shares how became a nurse, why she went to the battlefields Crimea and how she sought to improve the conditions of soldiers and nurses at war.
On Thu 8 August the museum also presents a special Mary Seacole Performance Day. This special storytelling performance will introduce visitors to the inspiring life and work of the pioneering Jamaica-born British nurse and businesswoman Mary Seacole.
