Southbank Centre presents the first edition of Creative Intelligence, a new festival packed with talks, music, demos and creative exploration that explores through the lens of the arts how AI and digital innovation are shaping our world.
Highlights of the busy weekend-long programme include a host of free interactive installations and exhibitions, including: Danielle Braithwaite-Shirley's post-apocalyptic interactive game THE DELUSION: I Can't Move Without You, Andrew Thomas Huang's hypnotic, dreamlike installation The Deer of Nine Colours, Liam Young's mesmerising film work World Machine, and Algorave, a live-coded electronic music event created by AlgoRhythms.
At the heart of the festival is the Exploration Bazaar, a free public showcase in the Royal Festival Hall where there's the chance to meet the emerging creative technologists who are pushing the boundaries of art, design and tech and join in pop-up public debates about how technologies are being harnessed by artists across an array of mediums.
Ticketed events include the UK premiere of Yuja Wang's innovative, immersive work Playing with Fire, and a fearless discussion with the renowned writer Jeanette Winteron titled Creativity, Artists and Us.
