Carlos Acosta's Nutcracker in Havana

Simmering choreography from Carlos Acosta CBE, and a new Cuban slant to the score, bring some Havana heat to this classic festive treat showing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in December.

Carlos Acosta’s brand-new production features new choreography performed by more than 20 dancers from his Cuban company, Acosta Danza, and a newly commissioned Cuban version of the magnificent Tchaikovsky score, arranged by Cuban composer Pepe Gavilondo.

The lively choreography is enriched with Acosta Danza’s unique style and beautifully woven together with Cuban dance traditions, bringing the timeless Nutcracker story to life in new ways but with spectacular ballet still firmly at its core.
