Anthony Lawrence: A practical Guide to Aesthetics

Coinciding with this year's Frieze week, this free exhibition at the St John's Waterloo church presents major works by the late Anthony Lawrence, whose distinctive work blends classical technique, pop-cultural wit, and poetic imagination.

In particular, this exhibition shows major works that speak to prominent themes throughout the artist's career, such as Dante, Tannhäuser and the Damned Demoiselles, portraiture, and spirituality, and includes several works from private collections that have rarely been seen in public before.
