Available for hire for the first time, the Southbank Centre rooftop garden is a green oasis with panoramic views of London and the River Thames.

For those of you searching for event space, just head up the striking yellow stairs outside the Queen Elizabeth Hall to discover the idyllic garden.

Equipped with menus created by in-house caterers Gather & Gather, it ticks all the boxes for warm summer evenings with a glass of wine, overlooking the city from above.

From ground level, our brutalist venues may appear to be pure concrete, but as you venture upwards, the vista opens out to reveal a flourishing green space – not only brimming with all sorts of greenery, but also offering a little-known view taking in Big Ben in the west and St. Paul's Cathedral in the east (and beyond).

What's more, the Southbank Centre is right next to Waterloo Station, making the space a breeze to get to.

Originally a partnership with the Eden Project, the garden was built and continues to be maintained by Grounded Ecotherapy, a pioneering recovery programme that offers help through horticulture to people dealing with issues like homelessness and addiction.
