SEA LIFE London Aquarium is one of Britain's best with over 5,000 different aquatic creatures to marvel at.

Come face-to-face with sharks, admire the super cute Gentoo penguins, be dazzled by the vast tropical fish tanks and learn about the many endangered species that the aquarium cares for as part of its conservation projects such as the green sea turtles Dougie and Boris.

There are five different aquarium zones ranging from the Coral Kingdom and Rainforest Adventure to the Polar Adventure where the penguins live and the colourful jellyfish tanks of the Ocean Invaders zone.

When you arrive make sure to pick up one of the activity trail sheets at the entrance so the kids can plot their journey around the aquarium and look out for the regular keepers' talks where aquarium staff share insights into the many amazing creatures in their care.

Go on a Rainforest Adventure

This summer the London Aquarium invites visitors to go on a rainforest adventure with their new interactive trail. Grab your adventure activity sheets and set off on a journey through the lush and diverse habitats of the rainforest.

New for summer 2024, explorer Ben Fogle has shared his rainforest notes detailing the many amazing creatures and their unique animal tracks that you can spot along the way, as well as explaining how we can all work together to make sure the world's rainforests survive into the future. The Rainforest Adventure trail is running throughout the school holidays, from 20 July to 1 September.
