For the ultimate cosy Christmas experience, the pop-up king Jimmy Garcia is back with Fire & Fromage, an indulgent homage to mountain hospitality right on the South Bank riverside.
Gather around the fire pits with a toasty blanket and toast your own marshmallows, warm up with mulled wine, boozy hot chocolate or classic hot cider, and book a table for an all-you-can-eat raclette feast, all under South Bank's twinkling fairy lights.
This year there are two menus to choose from. The all-you-can-eat Raclette Bar feast costs £35 for 90 minutes and comes with salad, potatoes, bread, cornichons and a charcuterie plate followed by mini chocolate doughnuts or hot chocolate with marshmallows for dessert. Booking is recommended!
Meanwhile, the street food bar is slinging up comforting favourites like chicken schnitzel, raclette burgers, cheese-loaded fries, the super festive ‘Pigs in blankets’ hotdog (with sausage, bacon, cinnamon, apple, red cabbage, caramelised pecan slaw, apple sauce and crispy onions) and a whole baked Tunworth (British Camembert style artisan cheese).
Located right inside the exclusive ticketed fireworks viewing areas, Fire & Fromage is perfectly placed for soaking up the buzz of the New Year countdown. Packages start from £45 for access to the riverside pop-up bar and a welcome mug of mulled wine. For £80 you can book the Street Food Kitchen package which also comes with a main course and side dish plus a glass of bubbly at midnight, while for the ultimate in comfort, for £200 book a seat at the table in the Raclette bar and enjoy unlimited raclette and drinks and a glass of Champagne at midnight.
